Baptism
Through Baptism we are freed from sin and reborn as children of God; we become members of Christ, are incorporated into the Church and made sharers in her mission. Baptism is the first of the initiation sacraments (the other two are Holy Eucharist and Confirmation) and it is the basis of the whole Christian life, the gateway to life in the Spirit, and the door which gives access to the other sacraments.
Infants - 6 years: Parents and Godparents participate in the Baptism Preparation Program after which the baptism is scheduled. Attendance at three (3) classes are required. Classes are held in January, March, May, July, September and November. Please call the parish office (808) 262-8317 for information.

7 Years - Adult: The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is the process by which children who are seven (7) years or older, and adults are prepared for Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist. All three sacraments are received at one celebration, usually at the Easter Vigil. (Please see the "RCIA" page for more information.)
