GIRLS BIBLE STUDY
“The Bible, not to place it on a shelf, but to keep it at hand, to read it often, every day, both individually and together, husband and wife, parents and children, maybe in the evening, especially on Sundays. This way the family grows, walks, with the light and power of the Word of God!” Pope Francis
For many children, the Bible is confusing, overwhelming and seemingly out-of-touch. They feel that words written 2,000 or more years ago cannot be applicable to the issues they are facing today. We know that the most effective way to reach our youth is by using different learning styles (visual, auditory, verbal, tactile/touching, logical and social) in each session. It was with this understanding and with the inspirational words from Pope Francis that St. John Vianney Parish offers our Girls Bible Study
Girls’ Bible Study is a fun, engaging, girl-based night aimed to help girls in grades 3 – 5 learn more about the Bible. Each monthly themed session includes time for Bible study, small group discussion and learning from peers, and to help cement their studies, each session will also involve a craft/activity.
If you are interested in having your daughter join our Girls Bible Study, please contact Steffanie Beissel, Religious Education Coordinator, for more information.
